There is an interesting and rather frightening article by Robert Gottleibsen in the Business Spectator.
He makes the case that Treasury (yes, that numerically challenged lot in Canberra who provide each Treasurer with data massaged to suit their various agendas) have been providing factually incorrect information about SMSFs.
Remember how Swan was embarrassed by Treasury's modelling debacles? No doubt Hockey will soon get more than his cigar burned by listening to these wannabe social engineers. The scary thing is that anyone takes them seriously.
I have a SMSF but am deeply distrustful of government as a whole. They are simply pond scum, and that's on a good day.
