BGR,
good questions.
Here was a perfect opportunity for Waleed, the self proclaimed "Academic" to provide accurate, factually based commentary on the state of affairs & government action in Australia.
The chance to provide a positive constructive point of view, including praising the Federal government for near perfect management of what is inherently a very difficult task to manage ie infectious outbreaks, as proven by so many other countries & leaders around the world.
One could have taken a positive angle & praised the Berejiklian government for its near perfect management, after initial hick up with cruise boat.
But nah... this lefty "Academic" grub, would rather point the finger, talk down the great efforts of the federal government & seven states and try and muddy & besmirch their great achievements by suggesting some false underlying malaise in out political system.
What he should have been focusing & highlighting is the need to learn quickly from the successes eg NSW living with covid and keeping the economy moving, and what not to do as demonstrated by Dan and the extended police state that Victorians are now enduring indefinitely or Anastacia leaving all decision making to the CMO.
