You are right about the traffic differences and Murdoch would be wise to buy into both LOOK and Gurunet.

LOOK gives him much more than Answers does however.

Answers does not spider the web and categorize by use of a spider or robot. It is hand compiled and uses partners to provide definitions for certain words and terms.

They have no ability to go into the WWW and bring in fresh information for indexing.

LookSmart with Wisenut gives a company desiring a web presence like News Corp. a head start in keeping available works on the net fresh and relevant in their index.

FindArticles offers content, relevant content to the tune of 10 million articles.

Furl would provide a way for the Murdoch portal visitors to save pages on the fly for sorting, sharing and instant retrieval, this is important for MySpace members who are in the habit of saving info from other members pages.

LookSmarts Directory is hand edited through its Zeal dot com site and is porn free. Porn is an issue as the FCC has come down hard on companies like Viacom, Clear Channel and Fox.

Buy-n-Hold I firmly believe LOOK has more tools for the needs of a NEWS or Viacom. It's just that clear.
