On my current mortgage rate of 6.7%, I could have a $500,000k mortgage and interest would be $2791.45pm, leaving $500pm for principal, on your number.
I didn't think the "average" mortgage was $500k
seems odd.
I'd like to look at it more, I don't read one apparent "fact" and "believe" it
