Dov, what Chalmers said about the $100 is exactly correct if you gather your thoughts and think it through. By crediting energy bills by $100 he does 2 things, he relieves power bill stress, and secondly prevent idiots from going to Harvey Norman or blowing it on a pair of shoes which then sends inflation higher and risks even higher interest rates. It's a smart way to assist people without risking inflation.
As for the Budget itself I have not heard any economist or political commentator say anything other than giving it a big tick.
