I've used the prophesee x sony event cam, what is being described here isn't an application of an event camera. You'd probably want to sniff around for something related to image deblurring/stabilisation as that is the obvious use case for event cameras in mobile phones, or converting standard frame rate video into high frame rate using the event camera output.
