Ok ... so you are looking at say the "year ago" number to gauge...

    Ok ... so you are looking at say the "year ago" number to gauge "what it should be", then the "week ago" to gauge "what it is now" and looking to see how demand is recovering .... would that be about right?

    Now, why look at Finished Demand (line 26) versus say Crude Input to Refineries (line 14). They may tell much the same thing as but refineries would have more "adjustable production" levers to pull to try and match up to the demand they are receiving for finished products (within their refinery complexity capability).

    What isn't in those numbers that I can see is the actual US domestic consumption of gasoline ... as refineries also consume imported oil and immediately export distillates without the US consumer ever being involved ...

    There are of course are lot of people in the US now basically saying we're done with lockdown ... let's get the party started.
