Great Interview from Brian Rodan. Clearly Brian has adopted the North American Model of quantifying and proving up a significant resource prior to a Final Investment Decision (FID). Whereas Federation Mining have adopted the Western Australian Model of going for early production. Although no formal arrangements are in place, there is a synergistic approach occurring between the two entities that could lay the ground work for a subsequent merger providing efficiencies of scale.
Here is an extract from Federation Mining's September 2021 Update that is illustrative of what needs to be executed to produce gold in the near term from the Snowy River Mine and/or either Alexander River or Big River for that matter.
I would be very happy to hear some detail on Siren Gold's community consultation activities, Permitting for Mining and Processing & Resource Consent application planning, Environmental Investigations and all those fun things to bring the dream of mining to fruition. The information from Federation provides further data points for costs and other parameters with respect to processing. They don't mention head grade however 7g/t dirt would yield 70,000 ounces at full production i.e. 300,000 tpa. I hope Federation Mining are considering how their planned processing facility could be expanded to service other regional mining operations such as Siren Gold (Spoke & Hub Model).
The Siren Gold Thesis continues to be well supported by reported regional activity and hence as project certainty increases value will continue to accrue to Siren Gold. Link to full Update: https://www.federationmining.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/FED-Business-Update-Sept-2021.pdf
Other noteworthy data, is the decline development rates reported by Federation. As Brian states in his interview, @3:25, Federation mining are doing very well, very fast, and will hit the ore body in the next 12 months. Indicative of the competent and eager workforce available on the West Coast of NZ. Here are their reported production rates:
This is not fantasy, but real data and real planning.....this is how mines get built by proven developers such as Mark Le Messurier and Brian Rodan.
