"EU legistators yesterday backed plans to track airline passenger names as part of efforts....voted 38 to 19  to approve the deal negotiated with 28 member states last week.....Measure goes to full parliament early next year"
If approved, the PNR system (passenger name recording) will cover all international and internal EU flights while providing safeguards on privacy.

Correct me if wrong, but this seems very similar to the measures that have, in part, been implimented by Somapa/KKL and announced recently.
