thanks for your reasoned response. like you, i also appreciate posts that are backed up by t.a. as it sometimes adds a new perspective - i.e. seeing the world with a different pair of eyes.

the opportunity to learning from others is what makes hotcopper an interesting place to be.

however, cycle analysis falls into another category. you can never be sure of direction, but more often than not, turn dates may be significant. cycle analysis is just another tool to add to the battery of t.a. tools - and it is often a matter of just watching how the market is reacting as you get closer to the date.

t.a. and cycles analysis does not allow you to know the future ...but it can assist in making a guessimate of the potential.
