    Hi Ectoplasm,

When I write my reports I start with my head swimming with all sorts of facts and details. In the writing, believe it or not, a lot gets left out. It still ends up a very lengthy document.

The Latvia issue was one this week. Some are suggesting that this could be the start of a bank collapse in Europe. Perhaps - too early to tell.

My report this week does dwell on the bond problems in America which I think are pivotal to our situation. So, I don't think I'm so South-East Asian centric.

I have often referred to the disjunction between the European Central Bank's stance and the American. And how our Central Bank seems to be more prone to a European stance than an American stance (despite Mr Baldy's ostensible support for the Rudd government's policies). We still have some of the highest interest rates in the developed world - which would gain ticks from Mr Trichet of the EU.

I am at heart a Technical Analyst - so interpretation of the major market charts in Australia is my focus.

Nor do I ever wish to appear alarmist or incite panic - which is all too often the apparent desire of so many writers. Nor do I wish to appear to be ramping the market - either up or down. As too many people on HC seem to do

I try to maintain as level headed approach as possible and try to point out my personal emotional biases.

At the moment I am pessimistic. So What? My credo is to Watch the Charts and the Indicators - and leave emotion out of it. My Avatar indicates my desire to keep things in the balance, but not to be deterred from making the difficult judgements.

    Cheers
    Red
