Pedantic, semantic whatever. Anti Jewish (religeous persicution) I accept but as you know all the tribes of the middle east are semites. What I can't figure out is why those of the jewish faith have taken the term semite to mean only those of the jewish faith. Of course a portion of the faith are not semites at all.
The catholics of Northern Ireland could also rightly have claimed religeous persecution, at least up until ten years ago and were in fact persecuted by their fellow celts and countrymen but it was never refered to as anti celtic.
Sorry to labour the point but I think it is important in the long term as part of the resolution of the whole middle eastern situation.
