I was just thinking the same thing about a company I've followed for a few years. This company has been a complete disaster and their financial report stated total revenues of $8000 (yes you read it right) and the directors and management paid themselves over a million dollars for the year. I'm sure there are companies out there that should have been wound up years ago but are just kept going for the directors and managements salaries. If you were on a few boards as you said you could earn a decent living in exchange for a free dinner a few times a year.
