Must admit that I am taking a 5-10 year view on Copper and Discovery - so timing is fairly irrelevant to me!
You already appear to know the investment case here so little point my re-iterating it. But clearly, the BFS and funding are getting ever closer and once that is all sorted and construction begins we ought to see a long-term uptrend developing - with the odd market fluctuation with the copper price and the usual fear/greed volatility no doubt!
I was very happy to buy in relatively early and may well add to my position over the years but from your point of view the safest option would probably arrive once funding is secured.
The biggest risk at the moment would appear to be the dire state of the banking industry and the ongoing difficulties with obtaining long-term credit. However, DML have already cut an off-take deal which ought to make the funding process somewhat easier.
