Nothing wrong with the original Snowy scheme, as it was conventional hydro power.
Snowy 2.0 is pumped hydro, where you use as much energy pumping the water to the upper holding dam, as you generate when it’s released.
2.0 is an energy storage device, not an energy generating device.
In other words, a $5b battery.
