I am not so sure that all the inland Power Station sites are suitable for placement of Nuclear Power Stations.
The water supplies for the old stations in some cases would not be enough to meet safety cooling supplies.
A number of the coal stations have had dams built to supply them and have struggled during drought years for their water supplies. Also some of these dams are also getting old.
I believe most Nuclear Stations are built near costal areas and use sea water to safeguard water supply.
So many issues to consider, but the time has come.
