Your original post, as usual was derogatory stating Aussies dont know how to dig a hole. I was just pointing out the show is being run by the Italians lock stock and barrel I would think.
I know the Italians know how to dig holes as I have driven through many of them.
The problem with the tunnelling is primarily due to either poor, or completely underdone geotech. The question I have, and have never seen commented on is who carried the geotech risk on the project. If it is the owner, which I expect it is given where the cost of the problems seems to be landing, it doesn’t matter who was digging the hole-the result would have been the same.
I suspect that the ideologues who pushed the barrow on this project needed to “get things going” or they would not be invited to the good cocktail parties in Brussels, New York and the various COP get togethers, the same reason IMO that the 43% emission reduction was legislated without a f***ing clue on how to achieve it.
