So, how does a coal fired power station generate power if the coal isn't dug up, processed, loaded into the boiler, turned into steam and then directed into the turbine driver ?
I could argue that a coal fired power station will never generate a watt of power unless that complex process of mining the coal occurs first.
Does that mining process not require a form of energy to make it happen ?
Kind of like pumping water uphill to supply the turbine generators that actually generate the electricity, isn't it ?
