The power required to pump the water back up the hill is huge and when released downhill, it will only generate the equivalent of 80% of the power used in the pump up! That is a 20% loss of energy each time the water goes through the cycle. If you think this is a great system or if you believe that this will provide anything other than EXPENSIVE INTERMITTENT POWER, I have a bridge I can sell you cheap!
