so then, what is in one particular generalized belief system, that is not in the other, that offers a higher potential for solace?
perhaps it is more due to a comparison between western exhorbitance and indulgance, and eastern desperation and poverty. christian or moslem is somewhat irrelevant - the tables could easily turn.
if you happen think that when you die that your reward for believing in something will be an eternal erection, virgins and 80,000 servants, then you should really consider the possibility that it might not be heaven for the vast majority there.
although there are exceptions, belief in some designated god has provided leverage for untold suffering in the last several thousand years, no wonder many are turning to atheism, but atheism is just another manifestation of insanity and has the potential to be equally as DEVAstating.
