Management does not have ability to "manipulate price". Refer Institutional Book build closed on 16 December at $ 273 per share (8.2% discount at the time). Although it is a company with a large number of shares on issue many of the holders don't buy and sell shares regularly .... so large institutions with a large holding can "influence" the share price direction.
