Interesting to note that BTA used Siga Tech e.g. to illustrate the impact of BARDA involvement on its market cap.

They got multi hundred million $ procurement order (with max up to a couple o $billion) when its drug is only being produced now (and will take 2 years to produce) and it hasnt even been approved by the FDA.

Moral of the story is? When BARDA gives you a couple o hundred million to develop a drug (Siga got $55M to develop theirs), as sure as night follows day, BARDA is gunna throw up a BIG procurement order at some stage.
