But it is an absurd name and I like absurd humour.
It's based on a pseudonym in the now defunct irreverent Nation Review weekly newspaper, who was actually Molonglo, no doubt derived from the ACT placename.
I recalled Molonglo incorrectly, and out came Mongombolo.
