I don't agree they "hold all the cards" at all.
Their presence in the mix was always welcome, and still may be, however, if they as a resource player would rather see a decicated oil/gas player pick up their position, I see nothing wrong with that either; in fact it might be a positive play.
I suspect that whatever happens in respect of Alcoa, should the players change seats at the table, they have earned the right to have first crack at the supply once it starts coming out of the ground commercially.
If they decide to see it through as a major participant, that would also send a bloody strong message.
AS C4 mentioned, even when it was swimming on the way up, the first signs of the gas after fraccing, have always been at commercial rates.
