As a wife of a resource worker, only 12 years ago for the first 8 years my husband worked the first two projects the entire time the project was being built 12months away.
Then 8years ago it changed to 6 months, then it changed to 4 months, then a little bit of happiness came to 2 months, then finally in the middle of the boom was 21 and 23 days.
That now is the present FIFO schedule.
Could you live away like this from your love and family.
Think twice and always ask the other person what its really like, Kevin Rudd hasnt got any idea what reality is.
