Perhaps, but it's more likely that the situation is being manipulated for the benefit of the majority shareholder over the minority - very likely legal and clearly unethical, but to some folks ethics are irrelevant. The Murdoch's are a high end example of this, and we are sadly a low end one. Disgusted but not surprised; and perhaps naively, I do think that ASX is on small holders side, as they appear to be weeding out suspicious behaviour (albeit to the our detriment).
