Scanned 2537 stocks on the ASX. Criteria: trading at a new high within the last 2 years( post GFC bottom). As per screen below, stocks achieving new highs in the last 30 days of trading.
Out of 27 stocks hitting new highs, 17 out of 2276 are from the other sectors in the market, 10 out of 261 stocks in the gold sector hit new highs. This is occurring while the ASX and international markets are down considerably from their highs.
Gold hit a new high on Tuesday last week while the ASX and International markets continue their multi month downtrends.
If Gold can maintain these levels maybe the delineation between Gold stocks and the rest of the market has commenced???????
