well, no they can't -

people forget that 4 tragic young deaths resulted from the pink batts scheme - innocent kids trying to earn up buck! - and dozens (hundred's? of house fires with more waiting to happen) - and that many building contractors are now thousands of dollars - hundreds of thousands of dollars - richer, thanks to the Aussie tax payer - and the BER tender rip-offs. To say nothing about the worries of investors over their mining stocks.

But this just goes to show that many are willing to forgive almost anything as long as it's "THEIR" party in control. Funny how people identify with a political party -almost a lifetime devotion, like barracking for a football team. Even if that team is useless, or full of thugs, they'll still wave the flag.

Suppose the Nazis thought the same - and therefore tolerated Hitler - and looked the other way at all his slaughter. Extreme, yes - but same philosopy.
