Range has exclusive rights to explore for all minerals, oil and gas in a contract signed with a government of a country? prinicipality? region? that is not officially recognised by the UN or other governments. What is more, this 'government' is now under serious threat by a fundamentalist isl amic uprising seeking to takeover the whole of Somalia and unite it under Sharia law.

I forgot the part about the exclusive rights being gained from a 'company' that has no real identifiers except registration in the Maldives.

The people of 'Puntland' who have been so opposed to this Range deal (enough for some of them to lose their lives), will be glad to see them driven out under God's law.

No wonder they can't get anyone to sign joint ventures.
