So the cunning shorter - who at all costs doesn't want people to know that he's really shorting - actively draws attention (in an unashamedly and unambiguously positive light) - to the very insidious activity that he doesn't want anyone to know he's really undertaking?
Doesn't sound so smart to me.
Unless... mmmm, hang on a minute, bear with me... unless the shorter thinks...that....we... Yes!, I think I've got it! ... unless the shorter thinks that people are on to him, so the best thing to do is to create a smokescreen by intentionally refer to shorting using happy, positive phrases in order to lure people into thinking, "Well, if he's openly talking about shorting, then he can't possibly be a real shorter now, can he? Because a shorter would not dare mentioning shorting, would he, in case it gave his game away?"
