Bendigo - your comments are spot on. The feelings experienced with a loss are much more emotive than the euphoria felt when there's a big gain. Hence the majority only act on bad feelings and sell on bad days and are reluctant to sell on good days.

The hardest thing I have to do is sell stocks when they're doing well and to buy when the market is in fear. It's our aim, it's what everyone says to do, but very few have acted on it.

All my greatest trades have been buying up top companies when everyone has dumped them. If a good stock is falling with the market then eventually it should be back up there with a recovery. Just be careful on the stocks that fall on their own!
