We just couldn't see.

Sooner or later, no matter what, we would have somehow for something, become in the terrorists eyes, a legitimate target.

They could have blamed it on the way our indigineous people have been treated, for example.

There are a myrad of reasons, which could and would have been invented, none of which even would have had to make sense, or even be true.

They always want a trigger to rationalize their actions to their illiterate mobs.

There is no way in the world that sooner or later we would not have provided them with that trigger.

So, why wait till later?
