As for not him not being an amateur....actions speak louder than words. And his actions have been amateurish - Metalduster nailed it, ie. non-binding and other language pertaining to non-commitment has been crucified. Would have been better to wait until it was binding.
Now he finds himself in a distressed seller position, ie. having to solidify claims to satisfy ASX demands which are non-negotiable which the Chinese will (as they should) milk for all it is worth. Disgraceful
