Not a bad idea free everything for those that want to kill themselves.
Personally I think anybody supporting the ridiculous research that tobacco does not impact our society and the economy needs to go and take a look in some hospitals and go with the home support services to see all those people getting medical attention and support at home with lung disease, emphysema, heart disease etc etc.
Tobacco accounts for about 20,000 deaths per year in Australia and that doesn't include all those that I have mentioned above.
Personally I watched a friend die horribly from emphysema related to smoking over a ten year period.
I also lost my mother to tobacco. The ME wrote on the death certificate "Directly related to cigarette smoking".
You may be lucky like my mother and die quickly but you may not and you may like my friend and have a long and agonising death. One thing is for sure your quality of life will be directly impacted by smoking Tobacco as well as your finances.
I know these diseases can be caused by other factors and Im not disputing that but Tobacco accounts for a lot of them.
Im not going to say stop smoking, you go right ahead and keep smoking it helps to keep the economy ticking over.
