there is no way current share holders will be left out of this deal.

what's hard to get your head around is how a small company can pull of a project this large

as newsat do not have around $400m to play with they have to get other to pay the bulk, newsat will put in their part if you like as payment for arranging the whole thing

this I hope will all be made clearer in the coming weeks but as I understand it Newsat will by the funding arrangement receive 20-30% of the revenue, including the TT & C (Tracking, Telemetry, and Command) charges..

as newsat will already be in profit the profit from this will be the icing on the cake and is not dependant on NBN/Govt pen pushers who love Optus.

i felt the same way till I looked into it :)
