but one difference to post WW2 is that millions and millions of people were displaced

millions and millions lost families and homes -------------- so, an opportunity across the ocean to a new beginning was pretty attractive at a guess

not so now - except for people from war torn countries.

People here aren't oblivious to what's happening in Oz - they know that Oz wants people

but, they also know that Oz abuses foreign workers, they know that Oz can't house workers, they know that the cost of living in Oz is astronomical

and there is massive demand here - all through Europe, the UK and America - is on an economic climb

Oz is really up against it - unless it wants tradies from the Middle East and Africa - probably get a lot of interest there

    ''it does seem mission impossible''

it IS mission impossible without chewing some limbs off --------- that's been clear for ages IMO

yet, when it was predicted and opined - all we heard from the Liberal supporters was
'best country in the world' 'scotty has the place running like a swiss watch'

uh huh --------------- well, the watch got dropped off the top of a very tall building as the chooks came home

IMO - Oz needs to 'think' about the problem --------- first up - identify the problem accurately

and the basic problem is that Australia can't house it's people, nor feed them, nor keep them healthy, nor educate them properly

it requires IMO - a cultural and thinking shift
