I think you should look at AGL and other utilities,major food manufacturers etc.When there is a big downturn you don't find many people sitting in the dark,starving themselves to death.Other stocks worth looking at would be large ticket items....when those with money stay away from the stockmarket and real estate ,they usually treat themselves to a new car or some such.Car makers overseas are making huge profits!!
