I just want to clarify something here. A 'wash sale' is only if I buy shares in the same company within a period of 30 days from the day that I sold them. Therefore I can sell my shares in this financial year and as long as I dont buy again for 30 days I am fine. I dont believe this company is going anywhere fast and I dont need to rely on the offer to buy them cheap. The only saving is brokerage and I think I can handle that.
I suspect that I can probably hold off buying shares for 60 days and still not be disadvantaged.
