Your sentiment is understandable and I can understand selling and claiming a tax loss for the year but in 2008 Lazard took 20 per cent of the struggling recruitment firm Chandler at 12.5c a share.
Chandler today traded at 43 cents.
If that kind of turnaround in share price can be achieved which in my opinion is possible with a better balance sheet and improving margins we long term holders may be able to recoup most of our losses.
I for one will be taking up my entitlement as i can only see upside from here.
We have hit rock bottom and in my opinion the only direction this can go from here is up.
