I note AGS continues to fall within my valuation range ;)
Thought I'd bump this for those new to the stock in the last few days wondering what it could be worth and what's been going on for the last few years.
First read the first post in this thread, then bear in mind that most people believe a JV mine probably won't go ahead (given the poor relations between AGS and Quasar) but rather that there will be a buy out of some description. Any possible buy out will have to give AGS a value related to the future production though, so those calculations in the first post could give a potential indication of the price (if it happens).
Another important factor is that AGS currently have a "misleading and deceptive conduct" case going against Quasar, which has the potential to award them the full mining lease back (ie. 100% rather than their current 25%). One can only imagine the value of this company if that were to happen. However, given that a resolution has been reached recently over the first case (concerning who's name the native title agreement was registered under) then many speculate that the agreement may also involve a resolution to that case as well. This hasn't been stated by the company, but the wording of the announcement regarding the NTMA was ambiguous.
Feb 10th has been given as the date when the "resolution" should be finalised.
Hope that helps.
