Can they issue themselves more shares without any responsibility to the rest of the shareholders. Also I do agree with you, they have no benefit of getting the price higher to buy it again.. they will want it as low as possible to buy more shares and eventually get to 100%.
But wouldn't it be illegal to drop the price, to so low while your company actual value stays the same ?
