Hi gafia,
I agree with your questions regarding section 5
I think the issue is though that although GML have sent in the letter with subsequent questions..
They already have a licence to proceed to White Paper which has been submitted and then for approval for ML..and a set of guidelines that have not been changed....
The Ban relates to all new applications...There are no current uranium activities in Greenland. The only project which has Uranium that is now an issue is as we know GML.... Anybody wishing to explore for Rare Earth is really now restricted due to the huge cost of exploration and then find the uranium content is higher than 100ppm...and would be a waste of time....
Uranium as we know is generally found in Rare Earth and then used as by product...
Therefore GML currently has to be reviewed and approved or rejected under the current conditions that they have been working with....
I still believe that GML have a very strong argument based on all their responses regarding Uranium and Radiation... The work to-date and money spent...
It also puts Greenland under the spotlight in developing a Mining Industry if the rules keep changing and there is uncertainty.
They have on a number of occasions stated that they do not need to process the Uranium and the GoG have been given a number of options.
There are also a lot of reasons why the Rare Earth Mine should proceed, not withstanding giving the EU a secure supply of Rare Earth..
From that point I am waiting to see how they now all (Authority and GOG) deal with it....
As for GBB well as a shareholder with a sell but still maybe holding a large parcel.... What a bit of a scxxxxxxL he is....since I first started following hotcopper and posted he has been singing from the same hymnbook the whole time... If he wanted GML to succeed he could do a lot to help on that front given his so called relationship with the locals and is history in Greenland.
Instead of continually stabbing the company in the back.....
I note that Mariane Paviasen has gone on leave and somebody now taking over her portfolio and Naaja Nathiasen has changed portfolio... seems the whole government is like a revolving door...
