The reason it was a bit closer than it might have been is because of a freak thaw in Nuuk which put the streets underwater and probably cost IA 3 or 4 thousand votes which would have made it a total blowout against Siumut
More important, the reason Siumut lost is because everyone associates Siumut with GGG, and everyone hates GGG and no one trusts them to mine anything that has radioactive content or Fluorine content. GGG cost Siumut first to lose the coalition it had, which caused the election to happen in the first place and then GGG caused them to lose yesterdays election.
Don't worry if you don't believe me, you'll hear it from Siumut themselves in the next few days.
