    Hi Blurrt

From this report it looks like the extension is until the end of May:

    This is from the Australian.

The details should be released on the ASX today.

Like Subah says, Heron is the go for MEO ATM. At least that is in their control.

Evan's Shoal is out of their hands. It's like a footy team finishing outside the eight waiting for someone to lose to get a look in at the final. It's been like that ever since NGA/Methanol Australia eventually lost Evan's Shoal to Santos after the 2000 breakup of Timor Sea Petroleum.

It will be interesting to see the outcome. A guaranteed high CO2 gas feed from Evans Shoal would be a good addition for the TSMP but 5Tcf LNG quality gas from Heron and 1700Bcf gas from Blackwood for one of the TS Methanol modules would be enough to get the project going.

These reserves still have to be tested and quantified though.

For those interested in the association between Santos and Methanol Australia after TSP was broken up into NGA and Methanol Australia:

    Here is the 2001 agreement.

It is irrelevant at the moment but as I said in a previous post it is hard to understand why the project is not off the ground yet.

It is only a matter of time.
