Mate I am a director of an asx listed company and, whilst i agree that of course it is ok to sell out shares at times, it is never ok to capitulate a share price through your selling. On that day he dumped 50% of a very large holding... ruthlessly into good news. That is not acceptable behaviour to 99.9% of companies. If you think it is and can be compared to a shareholder selling out, well you are kidding yourself.
There are obligations that go with directorships that centre of growing share prices. Taking money off the table is fine and happens every day... but that was selfish and completely disregarding of his duties to the share price.
