    I kind of wonder if Turnbull didn't actually want to go. Unlike Tony, Malcolm is a rich man with a lot of potential ahead of him and the thought of having to compromise on everything he believed in to keep the delcons on side might have finally got to him.

    Malcolm wanted to be PM and became PM so why continue on when the path ahead looked so bleak. He managed to get out with the upcoming blame for the Liberal disaster being slated home to the delcons. Looks like genius to me.
