Mogga - I guess a thread on a share forum isn't going to resolve a question which has occupied humankind ever since we have acquired self awareness. Many of the Eastern philosophies try to minimise that self awareness by practices such as meditation. I suspect IF we get to be old enough we probably WANT to shed our earthly coil willingly with not too many questions as to an afterlife? One has to cope with a nameless and numberless throng of bores (and worse) throughout life, why would one have a wish to continue that acquaintance after death?
We are really made of the same stuff as the entire universe, so we simply return to that universe; we are made of stardust and become stardust again .......
