thanks for the map.... still appears to me that shipping stuff you only get $66 a tonne for (probable 2008 price) requires some very smart logistics when you're that far away from any railroad - without which you're buggered...


I think the infrastructure question for iron ore will make most Fe juniors eventually unviable.... definitely something to be aware of now that most of the hype around Fe has disappeared....


the only successful Fe juniors are likely to be those which have high grade (haematite) DSO ore close to the surface and close to railways.... the rest are rooted in my opinion - the only exception might be if there was some truly monster high grade remote discovery that made it worthwhile for someone with very deep pockets to build a railroad to it....


not to say there's not money to be made by profitable trading in them at the right time, but long term I think there'll be very few juniors that ever make it...
