I had to laugh at the article in Cannabiz today about protectionism not working. I couldn't read the entire thing because it's behind a paywall but I'm fairly certain Biortica Agrimed is a Canadian business (looking to list on the exchange here via SOA with BOD). Canadian companies have been the main benefactors of protectionism by effectively preventing imports from being allowed. There have been a number of complaints made about Canada's protectionism by other countries to the WTO and Israel launching an anti-dumping probe.
Classic case of a company wanting its cake and eating it too.
