Free Trade is fraught for ECS as we are both export and sell locally.
Au's standing position is that you can't expect open access to overseas markets if you are also demanding protection from imports yourself.
Of course this supports the mega industries of mining and agro-business - but has led to wholesale destruction of local manufacturing and the disapearance of the family farm.
Australia is the Guiness World Record holder for laggardness in using its anti-dumping protections. Dont hold yrrr breath.
